Noosa Alive! in association with Slow Food Noosa present Slow Food with Film – “Bottle Shock”

Chefs Aden Moriarty from Noosa Springs, Matt Golinski and Fiona Williams from Fiona’s Fancies will provide a three-course feast destined to be as enjoyable as our featured movie “Bottle Shock”.

With an incredibly strong cast of Bill Pullman and Alan Rickman, the beauty of the California wine country showcased with a great collection of 70s music to compliment the musical score.

The movie is based on the true story of how Chateau Montelena, a Napa winery won a French blind wine tasting contest with their 1973 Chardonnay that sent the wine world into a frenzy.

The scenes of the confused French tasters trying to tell the difference between the French and California wines are unforgettable. The tasting has become known as “The Judgement of Paris“.  This movie even has “a charming after taste” and is an organic comedy about who deserves viticulture’s crown.

Duration: Approx 4-4.5 hours with intermission between courses.
